Where can I park my car?

There is a car park on entrane to the school. Our carparking assistants will help you find a good spot to park. 

Is there Sunday school for the kids?

Yes there is Kids church, First steps for kids 2-4 years,  Kids church for ages 5-11 years and Youth church for ages 12-18 years straight after the joint morning worship session. 

Are there facilities for parents and babies?

Crêche facilities are provided for babies and toddlers where parents can play with their children and still catch what is going on in the main service. Baby changing facilities are also available for use throughout the service.

Do I have to be a Christian to attend?

No you do not, church is open to believers and non-believers. We do of course hope that when you come you will come to understand and believe the truth about the good news of Jesus Christ for yourself.

How many people turn up?

On average there are about 200 people who attend our weekly service. During the week we also have other events where smaller groups of people will get together for a variety of social and learning activities. 

How long is a church service?

It does vary from week to week, but on the whole, a normal full church service lasts an hour and a half and we finish just in time for you to enjoy lunch.

What should I wear? 

We are not particular about what you wear. Individuality is appreciated and culture is as well, so if you feel comfortable wearing African attire or would rather wear a pair of jeans, that is cool with us.

Where is the best place to sit?

There are no set seating arrangements in the church, so wherever you think you can see and hear best is fine. We do have ushers who can help you find a spot if you are unsure. 

What is the deal with the name Elim? What does it mean?

As you may have found out by now. The Elim Pentecostal church network is a Christian movement made up of hundreds of churches. Elim was one of the places where the Israelites camped after they had left Egypt, where they had been subjected to many years of slavery. The place Elim was essentially an oasis in the wilderness. You can find it referred to in the bible in both Exodus 15:27 and Numbers 33:9. Part of the mission of being an Elim Pentecostal church is that we want to be a place where people can meet Jesus and where they can be refreshed by the neverending rivers of living water of His Holy Spirit.
