Elder

My name is Babs Sanya. I’m married to Funmi Sanya, and we’ve been blessed with four grown up children. Funmi and I have been married for 36 years this year, and we’ve been part of Romford Elim since 2000, so this church has been home to us for quite some time. 

Over the years, we’ve both had the privilege of serving in various areas of the church. Funmi served faithfully in Sunday School for many years, and I served on the working team supporting the elders, before being invited into eldership in 2006, where I served for a period of time.

I'm an IT Management Consultant and Programme Director with many years experience working with clients within public and private sector to solve business challenges with technology.

I’m truly honoured, humbled, and excited to have been invited by Pastor Helen and the elders to serve once again on the eldership. It’s a privilege I don’t take lightly.

My prayer is that I can add value, be a blessing to the leadership team, and to the wider church. I ask God for His wisdom, grace, and guidance as I step into this role.
