The Nativity Project 2018

The Nativity Project 2018

Bringing the real meaning of Christmas to life

Once again we will be running the exciting Nativity Project in the Brewery, Romford. It will run from 9am to 3pm each week day (for schools, groups, and shoppers) with the evenings being available for groups to book free of charge and put on their own nativity event; or book and have the Nativity Project team do a private performance for their school, church or group.

Who are we?

Spearheaded by Romford Elim Church, the Romford Nativity Project is a partnership of local churches in Havering committed to bringing the real meaning of Christmas to life. The ‘Across Havering’ network of churches is behind the venture as well but we are not exclusive.

When & where?

The Romford Nativity Project will be based in the empty unit in the Brewery outdoor car park, by the bus terminal next to Sainsbury’s petrol station (formerly Carphone Warehouse), at the Brewery Shopping Centre in Romford from 5th – 16th December 2018.

What's happening?

We will be creating a full scale manger scene and inviting various community groups to come throughout the twelve day period to share the Christmas message in their own special way through mediums of drama, music, monologue, songs,  story-telling, art etc. We will also be rolling out a schools project that will run adjacent to this event inviting classes to come and listen and participate in the Nativity story.

What's our aim?

Our goal is that Romford would experience the real meaning of Christmas and rediscover the Christian belief that has been the foundation of British society for a thousand years.

Shoppers

Simply drop by as you shop and we would be delighted to perform for you!

Schools

Have you planned your school Christmas outing yet? Then look no further than the Romford Nativity Project. In 2017 over 2,221 people visited the project, 1,074 of which were schools.

We are inviting schools to bring their pupils and not only enjoy the presentation performed by our team but to also take part if they so wish. This could range from individual staff members or pupils having a simple part in the presentation or to bringing your own choir, band, drama group to perform. All we ask is that it remains true to the biblical story.
